About the Role

  • As a Data Analyst, you will be reporting to the Director of Data and Analytics, you will use your experience to invent better and positively impact our clients’ outcomes through data, analysis, insights, & strategy.
  • As a member of the Data Team, you will use a data-driven approach to sharpen decision-making by identifying key customer pain points that can be actioned or tested.
  • You will be instrumental in driving actions from the data, both from strategies you conceive and apply and enable the wider team to take actions based on the insights you provide.
  • You will deliver work across the company’s Health and Consumer parts of the business, working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • You will be exposed to several parts of the experience team, including data, media, CRO, and strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Analytics

  • Help provide regular reporting and impactful insights that draw on more than just the data - you bring in the bigger picture and help the client answer the "so what" factor and create truly actionable insights that you can clearly communicate the reasoning behind and can be put into motion by our team or the clients you support.
  • Create ad hoc and more in-depth reports and insights where needed, all in the service of delivering and communicating value to your portfolio of clients.

 

Strategy and Insights

  • Develop wider strategic recommendations based on the data and insights you produce. These can drive direct actions to our clients’ various platforms or can inform wider activities that require assistance from UX and CRO to bring to life.

 

Technology

  • Be responsible for onboarding relevant technologies into the team and business and understanding how they can add value to the customers we create experiences for how they help our clients meet their objectives.

 

Analytics Maintenance & BI

  • Maintain and build new connections for dashboards and reports, maintaining the analytics update logs for clients also. Plus, contributing to our analytics service product innovation and documentation, including identifying or leveraging new technologies and techniques to increase the efficiency and value of analytics.

 

Data Quality

  • Help ensure data capture methods are clearly documented and briefed to developers and will have a clear understanding of areas such as data layer structures and the ability to QA data and tracking implementations.

 

Position Prerequisites

  • 5- 8 years of experience in Data Strategy.
  • Experience using website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA3&GA4).
  • Understanding of the underlying data models that drive website analytics platforms such as GA.
  • Manipulation of GA data using techniques such as custom reporting and the reporting API.
  • Experience using techniques such as custom segmentation to drill down into GA data.
  • Understanding of custom tracking within website analytics platforms such as GA.
  • Understanding and experience using Google Tag Manager.

 

Data & Analysis

  • Strong ability to manage data within spreadsheets using various formulas and techniques.
  • Understanding of the capabilities offered by SQL database platforms and a willingness to learn these technologies if relevant.
  • Creation and delivery of reports, and management of underlying structures and processes that enable them.
  • End-to-end ownership of the process beginning with data wrangling through to translation into trends and insights delivery.
  • Collaborates with data engineers to ensure the ideal state for data collection and automation.
  • Strong ability to manage data within spreadsheets using various formulas and techniques.
  • Ability to discuss insights, recommendations, and processes with clients and internal teams.

 

Platform Experience

  • Google Sheets / Excel (Advanced)
  • Google Analytics 4 & Google Analytics UA (360)
  • Other Analytics Tools (E.g. Hotjar, Segment)
  • Tag management Tools (E.g. Google Tag Manager)
  • Optimizely Testing Platform
  • Customer Data Platforms (E.g. Tealium, Optimizely, etc)
  • CRM Platforms (E.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Varied CMS experience

 

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of the capabilities offered by SQL database platforms such as Google Big Query and a willingness to learn these technologies if relevant.
