About the Role

As a Senior Email Designer, you will work closely with Project Managers and Jr. Email Designers, understand their branding and curate email design-based templates for the brand.  You will create six to seven templates for different kinds of emails and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop creative email using highly complex, data-driven responsive templates.
• Manage design and creative deliverables to schedule.
• Conceptualise and design engaging emails with segmented content that delivers strong click-through rates, engagement, and conversion to influence a specific target.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (internally) to deliver communication campaigns.
• Develop creative solutions for email marketing campaigns.
• Utilise existing email templates while continuing to evolve and innovate based on current trends and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the eCommerce, creative and digital teams to brainstorm content strategy, and create digital assets that adhere to the seasonal guidelines for different brands.
• Oversee a variety of email campaigns and templates, including content, promotional, retail, and dynamically driven campaigns.
• Manage the performance of junior team members, delivering continual coaching and feedback.
• Remain updated with current graphic design/marketing and communication trends for email marketing.

Position Prerequisites

• At least five years of experience in email design and two to three years of experience in the digital agency/design studio.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suites and experience using any email marketing platform preferably Klaviyo.
• General understanding of how ESPs work with testing and deployment.
• Excellent command of visual design and architecture for responsive email.
• Ability to successfully lead small to medium-scale projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple projects.
• Must be able to work well in a matrixed environment.
• Must be able to present, articulate, and defend design decisions with grace, logic, and data.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• People management experience.
• Background in email conversion rate
