About the Role

As an Interactive Art Director, you will envision how people experience the products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired and refined. You’ll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people worldwide—ranging from novice to sophisticated users.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Produce high-quality visual designs, illustrations to convey a story narrative or idea —from concept to execution, including those for desktop, web, and mobile devices.
• Designing user experiences from low-fidelity sketches to high-res mockups
• Must be equally comfortable sketching fast on a napkin or pushing the tiniest pixel; both are crucial.
• Rapid prototyping & mock-ups to visualize ideas
• Measuring recently released product features to establish benchmarks and to identify potential areas of improvement.
• Attend status/kick-off meetings, creative review meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Staying on top of the latest UX product design trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds
• Highly detailed communication of principles, direction, and design specifications to engineers.

About Successful Candidate

• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and colour effectively.
• Must have a strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude, not afraid of new challenges, tight timelines or curveballs.
• Demonstrated ability to produce compelling illustrations to convey a brand story and experience.
• Experience in working with a cross-functional team or large-scale software development life-cycle including waterfall and agile methodologies.

Position Prerequisites

• College graduates with interactive design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with web or mobile-based technologies such as HTML, CSS, CMS, JavaScript, Android Studio, XCode, etc.
• 3-5 years of design experience, flexibility, quickness and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get work done
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and a bonus if you have experience with Adobe After Effects.
• Experience working as a visual designer, illustrator, or graphics illustrator
• Strong, clean visual design sense.
